2023 Art vs Artist is here! 

Thank you for your encouragement and support here on the Internet throughout the year.   I am grateful.

This past year was all about catching up on pending projects and getting back into the groove of painting and teaching. Lots of live portrait model practice and alla prima painting. I was also able to finish three commissions this year (thanks by the way! :))! I have a final, big painting that I started in 2021 left on the easel. Super excited for this one, and I can see myself finishing it by the new year. Excited to see what 2024 brings!

I would like to shout out my students @trishw_art, @joehomart, and @c.herrera_art. 

The three were selected to receive our apprentice honor awards, which are presented once a year at each of our campuses and recognize apprentices who have gone above and beyond in their studies. 

Trish received the Award of Distinction, Joe received the Award of Excellence, and Chris received the Hardest Working Artist Award. Congratulations to all three!

Thankful for all these crazy artist people I call students.
